What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

The Procedure
A Brazilian butt lift is performed on an outpatient basis in our fully accredited facility. General anesthesia is administered by a physician anesthesiologist to maximize your safety and comfort during and after the procedure.
To begin, one of our board-certified plastic surgeons will perform liposuction to remove fat from other areas of the body (hips, stomach, and thighs). They will then inject that fat into the backside to add volume and shape to the buttocks. Additional liposuction can be done around the buttocks to improve the appearance of contour and lift.
Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery
To avoid damaging the transferred fat, we advise patients to avoid prolonged sitting for at least two weeks. When you do sit, you will have to use a pillow or cushion placed behind the legs to avoid pressure and raise the buttocks. You will also be encouraged to sleep face down or on your side.
You may have slight pain or discomfort which can be treated with medication prescribed by your doctor. Your surgeon will usually use drains to remove excess fluid, and these may be in place for one to two weeks following surgery. More details on the procedure and how to aid in the recovery process will be given when you schedule your procedure.
