What are masses of the hands?

Any abnormal bump or lump of the hand or wrist is considered a tumor. The term "tumor" does not necessarily mean it is malignant or that is cancerous. Tumors can occur on the hand or wrist as a mole or wart or underneath the skin, soft tissue, and bone. There are many types of tumors that can occur on the hands and wrists because there are many different types of tissue in the hand. Common types of tumors include: ganglion cysts, giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath and epidermal inclusion cysts.
