When Can I Exercise After Breast Augmentation?

Our physicians are commonly asked when it is safe to return to normal exercise after breast augmentation surgery. For some patients who are used to daily workouts, taking it easy may be difficult but now is not the time for “no pain no gain”! Listen to the signs your body tells you. Dr. David Alfonso recommends:

“Light exercise is allowed within 3 to 5 days after surgery. I only limit jogging or light cardio like the elliptical and certain weight activities for a few weeks. As for other daily activities, recovery from breast augmentation surgery is very quick and most women can go back to work within 3 to 5 days after their surgery.”
