What do the treatments involve?
Plastic Surgery Associates offers two types of skin rejuvenation treatments:

BioMedic MicroPeel®. This is an alphahydroxy treatment for skin that is environmentally damaged, discolored, acne-prone or hypersensitive.

MicroPeel Plus®. This is a betahydroxy treatment for smoothing fine lines and reducing the appearance of skin discolorations, acne scars and environmental damage.

Both the BioMedic MicroPeel and MicroPeel Plus® treat the surface layers of skin and are suitable for all skin types. Recovery time is minimal, and you can maintain the effects by using the BioMedic® Home Treatment Program.

How does BioMedic compare to other skin treatments?
It is a unique 3-step process unlike other alphahydroxy peels. PSA also offers a non-chemical procedure, microderm abrasion.

Many more serious skin conditions such as deeper wrinkles and creases, birthmarks, brown age spots and severe acne scars require chemical peels or laser treatments.
